About Us

Our Journey and Comeback 

We started as The Helper, Inc. in 2009, with Randi Hooker as the founder and owner. But we closed our doors in 2016 because one client of ours roped in for some in-house work, and we were catering to them as our solo client.  

Randi Hooker-Kellum is the CEO of Helper Consulting Services, LLC. and Keith Kellum is the Director of Marketing & Helper Handyman Manager. Both of them were on a road trip from Georgia to Mississippi. That trip was an eye-opener for them as they noted that many areas depended on small and medium businesses and non-profits. What hit them even harder was the impact of failing. They saw many businesses struggling and getting overwhelmed with challenges and bottlenecks like fraudulence of contractors, consultants, and even business owners and the strangling of productivity of employees pouring in.  

Inspired and committed to bringing a difference in this scenario, they wanted to be the HELPING HAND that could be the harbinger of changes in communities, business owners, employees, and clients. Their aim was to propel all of these entities toward thriving and succeeding in their vision.  

It all started from helping individuals and small businesses across the Eastern Coast. With time, Randi and Keith discovered a common thread connecting the struggles of all these companies or business owners. The common issue was the lack of knowledge in maintaining a facility and operation and developing a new program, despite having a decent idea about the area. So, we decided to assist businesses in improving the health of their physical properties and operations.  

Tech and operations system analysis, process implementation, mentoring, and business process documentation have been our forte. We acknowledge that business strategies about tech and operations are directly related to a company’s resilience. However, equally, or probably the more important factor, is how these strategies see the daylight through proper actions. So, we chart out strategies that align with the mission, objective, and value of a business, its resources, structures, and processes. Overall, it’s like creating that perfect aha moment when you can measure success and assess how revenue conversion has spiked up.  

Apart from consulting services, we offer handyman services, including home renovations and custom solutions. Our collaborative teamwork with clients helps in the quick detection of troubling issues and the development of actual steps to solving the issues. Our working mechanism never involves giving a vague report without any information for improvising management or process in the client’s business.  

These principles have seen successful implementation in our endeavor to serve businesses and communities better. To explain further, adaptability and flexibility have helped us to understand the actual problems across businesses and communities and serve them better with practical solutions. These solutions are essential to streamline or improve their operations, build visions and overcome the current crises.
